The story behind the name ‘Lemon Fresh Day’ stems from the band’s former lead singer and bass player being Sig Ep alum (a University of Omaha fraternity). They arranged for the original band practices to be held in the fraternity house basement. A fraternity brother listening from upstairs overheard the band practicing a song by the band Material Issue called ‘Little Christine.’ Being unfamiliar with the song itself, he did not realize the band was singing the words, ‘Little Christine.’ He came downstairs to proclaim, “Hey I really liked that ‘Lemon Fresh Day’ song you guys did!” And from that mistake, the band’s name was born.
